Ingeborg Wie Henriksen uses play as a medium for artistic exploration,
and creates interactive experiences where life and art intertwine. Her
work exists in the borderlands between mysticism, internet culture and
nature. She creates quests or mind games exploring the environment,
using what she finds on the way as art materials, drawing lines from
movements like situationism and Arte Povera. Her work often is site and
seasonal specific.
For her time as a guest artist at artist house Gjutars Ingeborg Wie Henriksen has explored the surrounding forests and Finnish lore through play. Maybe getting a bit lost within it — physically and spiritually. Waking up with the spring. For her exhibition Soft Clearings she invites the visitors into her poetic dreamscapes through installation, video, and interactive performance pieces in the gallery space.
The opening of Ingeborg Wie Henriksen's exhibition is on wednesday, 23th april at 17-19. Welcome!
During this exhibition the gallery is also open:
thu - fri 11-17 and sat - sun 12-16 .
